Consider this a brief course on 'blogging'.
A blog content can be stories, travel logs, digital photographs, or interviews. Some folks don't like to write but are willing to be interviewed for a story, so if you know the story or can get the story, you can help with blogging.
Our goal with this blog is to show what the Disaster Volunteers of the Jersey Coast Chapter do, for Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and around the region. Hopefully, we will be accepting and posting pictures and stories about all the types of great things we accomplish together, share our hope and aspirations for our work together, and communicate important news and information to the chapter and our interested public.
Here's a short video to explain blogging to those who are unfamiliar.

Welcome to the Jersey Coast DAT Team Blog
2009 Has been an exciting year for the Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross.
We have phenomenal training at the annual Disaster Institute, a fantastic Lead Team of volunteers, new warehouse initiatives to increase our response to local and national disasters, and three new Emergency Response Vehicles.
AND, we now have our own Disaster Volunteer Newsletter to share news and updates.
